Passengers were forced to call 911 when their flight was grounded at the Ottowa, Canada airport for six hours Monday night without air conditioning, causing at least one child to get sick. Air Transat Flight 157 from Brussels was scheduled to land in Montreal at 3:15pm, but couldn't because of severe storms. After circling around Montreal for a few hours, the plane was diverted to Ottowa, where it landed around 5pm. Passengers say they were given little information about why they were grounded in the ensuing hours, or how long they were going to be kept on the plane. At first, the air conditioning was kept on, but as the plane's fuel supply dwindled, the pilot shut off the power - cutting off the air conditioning and lighting. The private jet, the limousine service, and even a red carpet? Now THAT'S the way to fly! Here we see some wealthy people arriving and being picked up in style. I don't know who they were, but it was very cool to see them get into the limo and drive off. I hope you enjoy! The wind was strong out of the west, and we figured that runway 25 would be getting all the action. We were right. If I recall, we saw 6 departures and 4 arrivals in about an hour.
The remote tower concept is advancing from the traditional tower-centric model of providing air traffic services to a single aerodrome to a site-independent model where air traffic services can be provided to a single aerodrome, multiple aerodromes, or contingency/emergency situations. The concept is a cost-effective alternative to building a new tower or maintaining existing towers, gives airports staffing flexibility for existing towers, provides airport planning and growth flexibility, enhances safety/capacity where remote tower services can be deployed at airports that would otherwise not qualify for full air traffic services, and provides higher safety levels via technology.
After making an emergency landing at the Ottawa airport Friday afternoon when it nearly ran out of fuel, an Emirates Airlines was back in the air heading for Toronto following a two hour delay. Flight UAE241 carried more than 530 passengers, and was originally scheduled to land at Pearson International Airport on Friday evening before being rerouted because of wind and torrential rains. The plane departed about two hours later at 7:50 p.m. after being refuelled.

If you are from non-native English speaking countries, and if you are traveling to CANADA for the first time, expect these 3 basic questions they will ask you when you pass through the immigration. Each country is different but these are few basic questions they may ask. NOTE: This lesson is for the beginners level who are preparing to travel for the first time, if you wish to have advance level conversation please look for other channels. Thank you.
My latest video of nothing much happening at a major international airport, this time Dulles International, which is located in northern Virginia and serves the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Incidentally, of all airports serving capitals of major industrialized countries, Dulles is one of only two not accessible by some form of rail service (the other is Ottawa.)
We landed in London and were immediately whisked away directly from the airplane, bypassing the main terminals to a personal lounge, had lunch, and immigration was taken care of, say whatttttttt? ►Subscribe here for my Daily NYC Vlog http://bit.ly/KrispyshortsYoutube NEW SUBS: I started making videos on instagram (@krispyshorts).
